Ronald was born and then raised his family in Arlington Heights, Illinois. His connection to the northwest suburbs runs deep and he feels strongly about the strength of the community. He is a founding member of the Arlington Heights Crime Stoppers organization. He also graduated from Prospect High School, which serves Mount Prospect and Arlington Heights.

Personal Background

Achievement

Ron was raised in Arlington Heights and has lived and worked in the community ever since. He and his wife, Carol, raised their two children in Arlington Heights as well. Although their children no longer live in town, Ron frequently travels to Kansas City and Indianapolis to spend time with them and his four grandchildren.

One of the highlights of each year is renting a summer beach house where the entire family gathers for a week. As Ron likes to say, the house always has to have a pool for the grandkids.

Ron and Carol also enjoy traveling and exploring new places together, whether visiting cities, beach towns, or mountain destinations. They enjoy hiking, discovering local history, trying new cuisine, and especially attending live music events.

Ron has long been active in the Arlington Heights community and in organizations that support local residents and professionals.

  • Founding member of Arlington Heights Crime Stoppers, helping support community safety initiatives.
  • Active member of the Northwest Suburban Bar Association for more than 40 years, where he has served in numerous leadership roles including Board of Governors, Secretary, Treasurer, First Vice President, and President.
  • While in leadership roles at the NWSBA, Ron helped expand and diversify membership and strengthen the association’s committee structure to create more opportunities for new members to become involved.
  • Supporter of Gerry’s Cafe, a local nonprofit providing meaningful employment opportunities for adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities.
  • Supporter of Salute, Inc., a local organization dedicated to assisting military veterans.
  • Longtime participant in One Warm Coat, through which the firm has helped collect more than 1,000 coats for those in need over the past decade.
  • Community sponsor of Hey Nonny, a local Arlington Heights music venue. When Hey Nonny opened in 2018, Ron quickly connected with the venue and its fantastic owners, Chip, Patricia, Chris and Sue. Since then, the firm has sponsored the Hey Nonny Friday Happy Hour and, for the past three years, has also sponsored the Hey Nonny Songwriting Contest held each September, which showcases talented local and national singer-songwriters.
