The Law Offices of R.F. Wittmeyer, Ltd. is proud to continue our tradition of supporting students who make a difference. Each year, we offer the R.F. Wittmeyer Community Service Scholarship to recognize and reward students who give back to their communities.
While our firm is focused on serving our clients, we believe that community service deserves to be celebrated. That’s why we created this scholarship—to help students who are already making an impact continue their education and expand their ability to serve others.
We are pleased to offer a $1,000 scholarship to a high school senior, college student, or graduate student who has demonstrated a commitment to community service and will be enrolled at a 2–4 year post-secondary institution in the upcoming semester, while meeting the eligibility requirements.

Eligibility
- The scholarship is open to any current high school senior, vocational student, college student or graduate student who is a legal resident of the United States residing in one of the 50 states or the District of Columbia and who is enrolled in a vocational program or 2-4 year post-secondary institution.
- Employees of the Law Offices of R.F. Wittmeyer, Ltd., their immediate families (parent, child, sibling, and spouse), and persons living in the same households of such individuals (whether related or not), are not eligible to participate in the competition.
- Candidates for this scholarship should have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher and be in good overall academic standing.
Application Requirements
- The candidate must completely fill out the form below.
- The candidate must submit a 750-1,000 word essay response to the prompt: “What community service activities have you been involved in, and why are you dedicated to your community?” Please mention at least one organization you have worked with in the past, are currently working with, or plan to work with in the future.
- Please note that all essays will be checked for AI writing. If AI writing is deemed present in the essay, the application will be denied.
- The candidate must submit a professional resumé that lists their experience, both professional and academic.
- The candidate must submit a transcript from their current school. First-year college students, graduate students, or individuals who have recently transferred schools may submit an unofficial transcript from their current school, as well as the most recent official transcript from their prior school. High school students can submit proof of acceptance to their college or university.
- Preference will be given to students either from or attending secondary school in the state of Illinois.
The recipient of the 2026 R.F. Wittmeyer Community Service Scholarship will be chosen 4 to 6 weeks following the scholarship deadline of June 30th, 2026.
