March 20, 2018 Judicial Primary Election
Please take this opportunity to access the judicial evaluations available from the Illinois State Bar Association. Use them to cast an informed ballot for your/our judges in this upcoming judicial primary election on March 20, 2018. The ISBA breaks up the ratings by county.
The ISBA rates judicial candidates based on detailed information supplied by candidates, a background check by trained lawyers/investigators, and interviews of each candidate. Ratings reflect the ISBA’s opinion of whether candidates have the necessary qualifications for judicial service. The ratings are not a reflection of the candidates’ abilities as lawyers.
Candidates who do not participate in the evaluation process are found “Not Recommended.”
For Cook County, the ISBA also provides narratives for each candidate so that you can better know about a judicial candidate.
Also, remember not to take voting selfies with your Illinois ballot!
