2022 Scholarship Winner: Brooke Pecorella
Biography:
My name is Brooke Pecorella and I am from Allegany New York. In the fall of 2022 I will studying Occupational Therapy at Gannon University. My biggest motivator has been a 4 year old little girl with a disability. Watching her blossom and succeed through the help of her therapies inspired me.
Reaction Statement:
When I found out I was this year’s recipient of the R.F Wittmeyer Community Service Scholarship I was beyond elated and honored. It means so much that all my hard work for my community has been recognized. Coming from a small town I learned the powerful impact of service to others. Through all my community service acts it has been my greatest pleasure to watch peoples lives change for the better and it has transformed me into the person I am today. The smallest act of service can go miles in someone’s life.
The R.F. Wittmeyer Community Service Scholarship has become increasingly competitive since its introduction four years ago, and we received hundreds of applications from qualified students across the United States. Selecting a winner was not easy, but Brooke’s dedication to her academics & community embodies everything we look for in our scholarship winners.
