26th Annual NWSBA Mock Trial Invitational –Attorney Denise Adams Served as Scoring Judge Once Again This Year
The Northwest Suburban Bar Association (NWSBA) was able to get 20 local high schools back in the courtrooms at the Third Municipal District Courthouse for their 26th Annual Mock Trial event. COVID forced the NWSBA to host their competition virtually last year, so the high schools were excited to get back to in person trials.
The team from York Community High School took First Place. Second Place was awarded to Hinsdale Central High School, with Third Place going to Timothy Christian High School. Coby Teich from Highland Park High School was awarded “Outstanding Witness”, and Miruna Cioc from Niles West High School was recognized as “Outstanding Attorney.”
It took more than 50 volunteers to ensure that the teams had the most authentic courtroom experience possible. Our very own attorney, Denise Adams, volunteered her time as one of the attorney scoring judges. She was very impressed by the attorneys of the future!
